Ukrainian officials said that the Ukrainian army had recaptured more than 30 cities and towns near kyiv and that after the liberation of the cities, hundreds of dead civilians and bodies of deceased Russian soldiers were found scattered in the streets.

This Saturday, in Bucha, located 23 miles northeast of kyiv, the bodies of civilians were found buried in a mass grave. The streets were packed with Russian armored vehicles and tanks after fighting between the two armies before the Russians withdrew from the city.

According to the United Nations, from the beginning of the conflict until last Sunday, at least 1,417 Ukrainians have been killed, including 121 children.
